HOW IT STARTED

Experimentation with making wine and roasting our own coffee eventually led us to chocolate. 


Our first attempts were made in our garage with machines built out of recycled home appliances, and our obsession was born.

Through our initial efforts we realized that there was a vast difference between chocolate and GOOD chocolate, so we set out to find out just what was needed to make that leap from one to the other. This led to the discovery of the richness and diversity of single origin chocolate. 


We also began to understand the importance of ethical and sustainable sourcing, and how these make a difference to our environment and to all of us living in Africa.
